The pool and some more pours...

It has been a very busy two weeks, and I seem to keep apologizing for my lapses in updates.  We got the latest 3-D model of the pool area and our pool consultant, Shane, is back in town again to finalize the hydrology designs with Fernando, our plumber. [wpvideo HjamOIms] That is what the pool will look like, but now it's time to build it. [wpvideo ph6wZUlO] Here's the crew smoothing out the concrete for the equipment room floor slab. img_1804 The equipment room slab and footings are looking good! img_1806 Once the slab has been poured, Bruce and crew began forming the pool walls, pool cistern slabs and walls for the overall pool area. [caption id="attachment_3380" align="aligncenter" width="480"]fullsizerender_3 The pool area[/caption] Here is what will eventually, the bottom of the infinity edge portion of the pool. fullsizerender_2 We also finally poured the cistern for the first 2BR/2BA poolside villa and have stripped the forms to re-use for the pool area and 2nd poolside villa. fullsizerender_4 Here's the cistern as viewed from below.  You can see all the snap-ties which held the plyforms in place to create a uniform wall width.  The cutout door is where equipment for both poolside villas will be stored. fullsizerender_1 We also poured the slab for the 2nd poolside villa.  Since it is a suspended slab, we'll have to wait 3 weeks for the concrete to completely cure. img_1811 [gallery ids="3364,3365" type="rectangular"]   Here's beautiful Cameron resting with her toy.  She and Charlotte arrive tomorrow with Charlotte's mom.  We can't wait! fullsizerender-6 Conner's dog champion also had an inter-species moment with one of the local donkeys who decided to come into town for a visit. fullsizerender-7

Have a great week everyone!
