Rain... but a silver lining!

This week has been pretty light and we've had quite a bit of rain over the last 4-5 days.  Even the donkey's were looking for a dry spot.  Bruce and Shiraz are off to St. Kitts for a family reunion, and it's just as well given the rain!  We'll get back to it with the full crew on Wednesday, just in time for it to dry up a bit.  David, our long time friend and key investor, came down for a few days to check on progress  We had a fun time running around and taking care of business. Since the crew was off for the week, David, Conner and I did do the Ram Head hike last week and it was really cool.  Here's a pic looking over the edge.  Awesome. The island has relied on St. Thomas for its supply of concrete for the last 7 years.  With the barge situation running at minimal capacity for the last several months, concrete deliveries have been few and far between causing unnecessary delays and lack of work for many members of our community.  We currently have a SIX week wait between pours.  This is simply unacceptable to our schedule! That problem will be coming to an end in the next few months with the announcement of St. John Concrete. Founded by a long time St. John resident, the Company will be able to meet the needs of the community with a high quality product using the latest in monitoring and batch mixing technology. Even the logo's are cool! fullsizerender_1 I can't wait to get one of the shirts with this logo on it. fullsizerender In the spirit of full disclosure, we do have a small piece of the action in this business and are extremely excited to help Adam get this venture up and running to meet the needs of the community. Have a great week!
